Your future, in numbers
Long-term cashflow projections bring income, spending, savings and taxes into one picture. Agreed scenarios help you understand how decisions today may affect your future.

Step 4 · Plan for life and stay connected
Understand your financial future. Organize your affairs. Give your family a clearer path through the decisions ahead.
Your Family Plan is your ongoing POM relationship across Plan for Life, Prepare Your Family and Support Every Transition. Initial planning creates a documented foundation. Annual reviews, proactive communication and agreed family coordination help keep it useful as life changes.
The initial engagement is for the couple. Your chosen executor or family representative can participate with your permission; their own planning is a separate engagement.
The planning picture
Long-term cashflow projections bring income, spending, savings and taxes into one picture. Agreed scenarios help you understand how decisions today may affect your future.
Consider annual tax, future estate obligations, asset ownership and beneficiary arrangements. Coordinate how assets may pass, what the family may receive and how estate obligations could be funded.
Compare staying home, accessibility modifications, additional care, downsizing and retirement living. Model housing costs, potential net sale proceeds, timing, cashflow, taxes and estate value within your family plan.
Identify potential protection and liquidity needs. Appropriate professionals assess suitable options and explain costs, tax implications and trade-offs.
Coordinate suitable wills and powers of attorney, organize document locations and key contacts, and help your chosen executor or family representative understand the plan.
Bring priorities, responsibilities and target dates together in a practical roadmap, with first-year membership, an annual review and a defined allowance for support and agreed proactive check-ins.
A baseline cashflow and projected net estate value, agreed housing and care scenarios, tax questions for the responsible professional, a family readiness record and an action plan with owners and dates. The number of scenarios and meetings is agreed before work starts.
POM provides planning and coordination within its authorized scope. Investment management and account instructions remain with your chosen investment professional. Insurance implementation follows a separately authorized licensed process.
Preparing early creates time to compare options, coordinate professionals and organize the information your family will need. Any potential tax or cost savings are assessed against your circumstances and the full cost of a strategy.
Projections are estimates, not guarantees. Passing assets outside an estate does not automatically eliminate income tax.
A clear commitment
A focused second meeting combines Your Family Picture and A Clear Commitment: we identify preparation gaps, explain the proposed work and agree on the engagement before detailed planning begins. Your proposal sets out the planning scope, deliverables, meetings, support allowance and fees. The proposed initial package includes the first year of membership; renewal pricing and terms will be explained before enrollment.
Tax return preparation, complex legal work, trusts, estate administration and renovations, decluttering, moving or property services are separately scoped and priced. Outside professional fees are additional unless expressly included.
